Member Benefits
As a member of the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association, there are many opportunities available to both you and your players. We currently sponsor numerous player awards which include All-State Teams for each class, Team and Individual Academic All-State awards, and the High School All-Star Match. We also sponsor coach awards including the Win Club (which recognizes coaches who reach benchmarks of 100, 200, 300, etc. victories as a high school coach), Section Coach of the Year, State Coach of the Year for each class, and the Coaches Hall of Fame. Our biggest event of the year is the annual clinic, which is typically held during the last full week of July.
We also represent you and the sport of volleyball at the Minnesota State High School League, recommending and advising on rules, regulations, and policy changes that impact volleyball. The Minnesota State High School Volleyball Championships are held in November each year, and we give input on the scheduling and organization of the tournament. In the past, we have successfully worked toward allowing each team to have three tournaments as part of the 17-match schedule, scheduling varsity matches as three-out-of-five contests, and expanded the state tournament to three days.
